Current Quests: Week of 10/07/2007
Welcome, one and all, to the latest episode of “Where are they now?” Or rather, RandomNPC’s Current Quests of the Week. Not much has changed in the recent week with regard to everyone’s gaming status, so consider this a recap.
RandomNPC’s resident robot and all-around great guy Derek “Roku” Cavin is continuing to grow lances in Growlanser V, and has recently polished off Mega Man Star Force. Look for the review soon. Sadly, Roku-bot took one to the CPU recently, so he’s not feeling well tonight. Wish him the best!
Michael “CactuarJoe” Beckett sucks this week as he plays Kirby’s Superstar Saga while he awaits the release of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. Sources close to the Needled One say his favorite subgame is “Milky Way Wishes.”
Our very own wonderful (~desu) John “Karlinn” Boske is hard at work in the Russian Wasteland in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., as well as some gratuitous swordplay in the .hack//G.U. games, and a replay of Bioshock. ~desu.
Michael “SlayerGhaleon” Kozinko keeps on kicking butt, taking names, and chasing skirts in Persona 3. He estimates he has about three months left to finish it. Whether that’s game time or real time, we’ll never know. Or we’ll know soon enough. Whichever comes first. Breaking news: Slayer is also winding his way around Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Jason “Ishmael” Schreier has recently called time on The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and expects to have the review ready this week. As well, he continues the journey into the never ending winter nights of Neverwinter Nights 2. Brr.
Cortney “Alethea” Stone continues to hit the high notes of her trusty bell in Eternal Sonata. Early indications show the enemies might be a bit out of tune.
As for myself, I sailed the high seas to victory in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and have fallen prey to the perils of the Phantom Hourglass. I feel like such a dork sometimes yelling and blowing into my DS, but it’s awesome that way.
Join us again next week, and keep the feedback flowing. We love to hear from you!
Angel0886:
I got a sore throat one night from blowing (into) my DS. And its fun yelling “Boo!” into the mic :p

I’m largely enjoying Growlanser V now, and like it more than Growlanser Generations. I’m also going through the original Final Fantasy Tactics again, but I hardly consider it the tactical RPG equivalent of the second coming of Jesus like many seem to think it is…I don’t know, I’m not really the kind of person who likes wasting an eternity on losing battles and tolerates things like the inability to undo movement. I’ll take the Shining Force games any day, thanks.
